As stated, Hunter S. Thompson is the best example of Gonzo Journalism. But, there have been others who have gone on a similar path.
Lester Bangs, George Plimpton, Greg Palast, Jordan Kobos, Tom Luffman, Matt Taibbi, Alan Cabal, Tom Wolfe and Terry Southern have all written in the style of Gonzo Journalism.
