In the Arabic text, the origin of the Demon whose name matches the 666 is a Cyclop named, Dajal. He is here at the moment somewhere near the Bermuda Triangle. The Triangle isn't there without a purpose you know. When the time is right, he'll be release to tempt human with all he could. So that is the Beast of 666.

Indeed this is not a "short answer" question. To really fully understand the number of the beast, one must also have received the very revelation of Jesus Christ himself to their heart and soul and have been converted to be a true obedient servant of Christ (The first verse of Revelations plainly states that it is addressed to Jesus' servants.) I must say this because Revelations (and the whole Bible) is a spiritual book so it is much more than something the human mind can conceptualize - you must have a true heart to really receive it. Now to explain the answer we must use the spiritual teachings in the Bible to understand it because the Apostle Paul told us in 1 Corinthians 2:13-14 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." To explain your question we must compare spiritual teachings in other parts of the Bible with the spiritual teachings within Revelations.
So with that said, let me give you some "starters".
The scripture you refer to is Revelations 13:18 and it reads "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six" (or 666)
Now in this scripture we are told that 666 is the "number of the beast", and that it is the "number of a man". But we must first consider that the number 7 has great significance within many places in the Bible (including Revelations.) Seven is considered the number of "completeness" or "fulfillment". Some examples: 7 days in the week, 7 lamps in the Old Testament tabernacle candlestick, Joshua's army compassed Jericho 7 days, 7 days of eating unleavened bread, etc. and many more. In Revelations, the fulfillment of the judgement message against spiritual Babylon, and the beast that carries her, is fully completed by: the opening of the 7 Seals, the sounding of the 7 Trumpets, and the pouring out of the 7 Vials of God's wrath (or 777). Then people can get free (if they have a heart to do so) from the deceptive powers of the spiritual harlot (spiritual Babylon), and the beast that carries her.
Now the number 6 is spiritually an "incomplete" or an "unfulfilled" number. It is "close" but it comes up short. If all the true message of Jesus' Revelation is not fully delivered (preached) and received by people, they will end up being spiritually incomplete, or having a spiritual "mark" of 666. They will spiritually be part of the beast that caries spiritual Babylon. (An interesting note: the ancient Babylonian kingdom's numbering system was base 6, not base 10 like ours. So the number 7, as we know it, was not used.) Now let us consider that the Bible describes those who are not true servants of Jesus as being in the image of a beast.
"If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die." 1 Corinthians 15:32
"One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies." Titus 1:12
"But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption" 2 Peter 2:12
"But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." Jude 1:10
"And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things." Romans 1:23
Again this is why it states in Revelations 13:18 that 666 is the "number of the beast", and that it is the "number of a man". It is the number of man whose nature is corrupt, or incomplete (likened to a beast). Jesus Christ came to die for us so that by faith in his perfect sacrifice we can have our sins washed away and we can be made holy like him. He came to un-corrupt us and bring us back into the spiritual image of God: to spiritually make our hearts to be holy like the way God originally created the heart of Adam and Eve - in his own image, not the image of corruptible, incomplete man.
"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Romans 8:29
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
"And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him" Collossians 3:10
As I said at the beginning, there is much more that can be said. I have started writing a blog on the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and I have much more work yet to complete it. But I do intend to keep working on it until it is completed. You may find it if you like at http://revelationofjesuschrist.wordpress.com.
I hope and trust this has been a help to your understanding.
