Could the world become to an end on this date?

I honestly believe that it wont... considering we are always trying to predict the enevitable.. for example the end of the world was suppose to happen in 1987,1994,1995,2000,2001,2005 and now the prediction is 2012... after that they are going to think of another date and then people will start wondering if that will be the end of the world..
We just need to assume that the end of the earth will happen tomorrow and live life as if it were going to

I believe the mayans were not predicting the end of the world. Mabe some shift in time that requires a shift in there calender at that time. There system for generating such an accurate calender may not be acurate after that date.

Nobody knows the exact time the world would end except God himself.
Well, I guess something might happen on that day but nothing of that "the world is going to end" stuff.

That is bull; how can an ancient mayan civilization predict the end of the world? The end of the world is for God to decide not some mayan shaman that said he had a vision of the end of the world because he was stoned on some kind of opiate.

Many ancient civilization had predicted apocalypse over thousands of years, from the Book of I Ching to Nostradamus, and the Native Indians to even the Holy Bible all predicted that the world will come to an end. However, we as humankind are still around today waiting for that "doomsday" to happen. All predictions are open for different interpretations, and every few years some lunatic is going to flip through some old pre-historic predictions and exaggerate it based on his/her own interpretations. Once your mind starts to persuade you into thinking that apocalypse is going to happen, you would honestly start to believe that it is really coming.

what we need to worry about is NOW not the future
when the future comes we will deal with it but lets deal with NOW
