When I was in grade school, I went to school with a Korean boy. He was one of my best friends. He had the nicest mom and he was one of the smartest kids in our class. His mother came to our class and told us about the Korean culture and food. It was so interesting. I've lost touch with him because we moved away, but I often wonder about him and how well he's doing. I'm sure most Koreans are just as fine as he & his family. 2D

I LOVE Korea! I used to fly "space available" from Japan to Korea regularly to buy electronics and sneakers (since Nike & Reebok has factories there, you can cut out the retail mark-up and pay a fraction of what US retailers charge).
The country & its people are beautiful - rich in both culture & history. Koreans are one of the few societies that still regard humility as a virtue (a novelty to Western culture).
I personally found that a lot of the food requires an acquired taste but, I found that their barbecue is AWESOME! American palettes need not worry ,Western franchise restaurants are also available.
Have a safe trip & good time!

Asians do carry a grudge don't they. Korean food is da bomb. Japanese food is good for the eyes, chinese is good for the body and Korean is good for the Soul.

I really know next to nothing about it. If the food is anything like what we know in the US as "Chinese" food, it's delicious...
