with mercury and toxic risin gas or whatever that stuff is mixed with a bunch of carbon dioxide that was solidified.
Wonder if someone could top all that...

I mean a bomb that humans could actually make but gamma ray bursts was a good idea

Isn't a thermonuclear bomb bad enough? Lead, mercury, risin, etc. all have heat of vapourisation threshholds well below the temperature that is permissive for the H-Bomb (thermonuclear) bomb to go off. Fusion in the H-Bomb occurs around 20 million degrees F, and currently requires the old style Atom Bomb (fission) to create the 20 million degree permissive environment for the H-Bomb to go off.

The nastiest nuclear weapon would be consecutively larger and larger thermonuclear bombs in greater and greater number.

It's bad no matter how you look at it. :-(

If a regular atomic-bomb was loaded with the appropriate elements (in addition to U-235) to create a lot of long half-life, highly radioactive fission byproduct isotopes which would scatter over a wide area (if it were detonated in the air) and contaminate the surrounding land and make it uninhabitable for thousands of years.

Note: putting ricin in a H-bomb probably wouldn't make it any worse than a regular H-bomb, since it is an organic toxin it would certinally be destroyed by the intense heat of the detonation.

A gamma ray burst would be significantly worse than all of that.
