They lost to Oakland when they had that time out called on the sideline, which is what Denver did to Oakland the week before, so basically we lost that game because of a missed field goal.

Lost to The Arizona Cardinals because of a non called push-out, plus Anderson was throwing like crap, otherwise we wouldn't have needed that call.

Lost to Pissburgh because of a missed field goal

those 3 games had gone our way the Browns would have been 13-3. As you Browns fans know nothing usually goes our way, look at tonight.

I'm just happy they had a 10-6 season that was great and eventhough we lost the tie breaker for the playoffs and the tie breaker for the division we finished with the same record as the Steelers since they lost today.

MAN! I've been a Browns fan since I was little, so I know all about heartbreak (i.e. division championship losses back to back at the hands of Denver...the "Drive"....yeah).
I have been waiting for a winning season ever since they came back to Cleveland and now we have it! That in and of itself makes me happy, but not making it to the playoffs after all that effort really chaps my hide. That hurts.
I think they are better than their record and WAY better than some of the opponents who managed to "beat" them this season. (like you mentioned - the Raiders, the Cardinals).
Hopefully this will be a lesson for the players, though. Now that they've come so close to a post-season appearance, perhaps they will all work hard in the off season to improve - especially the defense. The offense can stand some tweaking too. You can't ask too much more from the kickers - they've been life savers on more than one occasion.
I think the Cardiac Kids are back!

Sadly its not about momentum, it's a season as a whole, but I know that all the playoff teams are breathing a sigh of relief that they don't have to play the Browns, if they improve their defense a bit, they are a team to be reckon with I think. They are the same situation as the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC, no team wants to play them in the playoffs.

I know how you feel, Im a Browns fan too. I see alot of promise with this team though. I think we can become a legit playoff threat next season. I know we'll beat the Steelers next year too.

Man... this hurts. Feels like a whole year slipped out of our hands. Your 100% right we are much better than our record. I'm so sick of people talking sh it about the browns. We deserve so much more respect. Hands down the most fun team to watch this year. Besides that we played some great football and deserved a playoff spot. I lost all respect for indy. They stuck their tail between their legs and ran away. Total discrase to the game if you ask me.

By that twisted logic, every team in the league is better than their record (except you know who). As if nobody else missed a field goal that could have won them a game. As if nobody's QB had a bad day. And my favorite, the refs ripped us off! Boo-hoo.

If you're team was better, they'd have a better record. Try hiring a better coach and drafting better players and you won't spend the rest of your life waiting for next year. Or better yet, come over to the dark side and become a Steelers fan. They've won 5 Super Bowls in my lifetime while the Browns have won.....0.

They are better than their record shows and I am proud of them even though they did not make the playoffs.

If Tennessee plays the Chargers the same as they did against the Colts 2nd and 3rd string, they will get blown out by at least 30 points.

They should change all the highway signs to: "Welcome to Cleveland, where there's always next year!"

Okay and the Redskins lost every game except the Pats by less than 7 so can you give them a break they do deserve the playoffs

Yeah, I do. The Browns had a good season! But quit calling it "Pissburgh", would ya?

I'm from Pittsburgh, but live in Cleveland. I almost wanna say that I hoped the Browns would get in, but ............

Well, I DID say "almost"!!!

Only reason Niners lost is due to thier 8999999920847249th string quarter back and misintent to play like it's their super bowl and the combination of the fact that it was an away game.

Browns won by luck of the draw.
