March is a very unpredictable month for weather here in the Boston area. It can snow well into April so you have a good chance of seeing snow at that time.

Usually ends in late February, but Boston weather is very unpredictable. It was once in the 70's in November! If you are looking for it to not to snow, perhaps the Farmer's Almanac prediction of 2008 being the overall warmest year of the century might help.

I would say it's possible but not definite. Boston is a coastal city, most snowstorms early or late in the season are rain in Boston. Come on St. Patrick's Day if you can, get drunk and who cares if it snows.

As others have said, you very well might see snow. Or you might just get slush. Bring waterproof shoes/boots and wicking (lightweight wool, poly, or acrylic) socks, because you'll be miserable if you encounter snow/cold rain/slush without the right footwear - and because parking is tough you'll end up doing a lot of walking.

If your heart is set on seeing snow, you might have better luck going out toward Worcester on the Massachusetts Turnpike, or else see if you can drive north of Boston (perhaps to New Hampshire). Often the western or northern parts of Massachusetts have snow when there's just mud and slush in the city.

It's possible, but not necessarily a guarantee - as others have said, weather is unpredictable here. But it's definitely possible, it's snowed in April before. The earlier in March you visit, the more likely you will see snow.

Early March the odds are good. The later it gets the less the chances are, obviously. It will be hard to predict until you see how the winter goes; so far it's been very snowy!

If you come in Early March you'll probably have a good chance to see snow...we once had a huge strom on April fool day in the 90's (almost 2 feet) so it can happen...

Last spring, the last day it snowed was mid-april.

It usually snows a little bit in March, not more than an inch or two though. Couple years ago it snowed during the St. Patrick's Day parade.

It does tend to have several chilly and windy days, even without snow! March also might have warm days (like in the 60s). The entire month is a hybrid of winter and spring, so plan for the weather going either way.
