I noticed it goes up and down, I turned off heater and it went down. Do i need a heater core or a thermomitor? my heater dont seem to work very fast also. takes a long time.

buy a new car! its falling apart b/c its so old. of course its not going to work good

check if the radiator is full only when cool
you may have a leak and the systom is low on coolant

its probably just your radiatior fluid.. you may need to get it flushed if you havent done so in a while

replace the sensor, they usually do this just before they die completely.
