can you help me out here, i want to make the right choice but don't know

1.Okay, what is the difference between college and university?
2.And do you have to go to college or can i just go to university after high school and will that be a good or bad idea?
3.And by the way is McGill a good university? Can you also tell me some other good colleges or u niversities in Montreal, Cananda, please and thank you

okay then, lets say that i went to university instead of college, will that be a good thing? what i mean is it better to just go to university that college

An institution that calls itself a college usually is mainly an undergraduate institution. Colleges tend to be smaller than universities. Universities are usually larger and more complex than colleges. Universities are often made up of multiple academic units that are sometimes called schools or colleges. So a university may have a college of arts and sciences, a pharmacy school, a business school, etc.
You can go directly from high school to either a college or university.
McGill, I believe, is a top Canadian university.

There is no difference between college and university.
There is a difference between :

Jr. college/community college and undergraduate university. The first offers up to an A.A and the other offers B.A. and B.S

In response to your additional details part, it doesn't matter as long as the the institution is accredited.
