The secular response is to put forward a name synonymous with both courage and ambition - Alexander The Great ; the greatest fighting General this world will ever produce .
The Greatest Conqueror of all ,and of all time,in the non-secular arena will be The Living Son of The Most High God who conquered an entire world ; Jesus The Christ .

I would say Gengis Khan. He conquered the lands from China to the Caspain Sea. I think if we look in terms of land mass he might be considered the greatest conqueror. He was also probably one of the most brutal conquerors.

I'd like to say Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of penicillin, though we have managed to overuse his "miracle mold" to an extent that diseases are adapting to it and becoming resistant. So, the progress made with antibiotics may be a thing of the past, like the successes of Temujin, Tamerlane, Julius Caesar, Pompey Magnus, Augustus, Napoleon, Charlemagne, and even Tsar Alexander, who Stalin was jealous of for having reached Paris.

Alexander. His empires was quite large, and he seized it all himself. It didn't last very long, but he was a great conqueror, not a great administrator.
