Well first off you are never too old to begin your education. As a nurse and having had many opportunities to help save lives it is an amazing feeling. I used to work in a teaching hospital in Corpus Christi Texas. Helping doctors become good doctors was part of our job as nurses. There were so many doctors fresh out of med school doing thier residency that were in thier 30's it isn't a bad time in your life you know. You would be more mature and ready to be a more trusted physician. Iit is a good time in your life. Trust your feelings. follow your heart and what ever you decide good luck!!!

Thirty years in the past, it was once the case that scientific colleges does no longer admit scholars over the age of 30. I undergo in innovations one in each of my roommates being frantic approximately entering into in the previous she have been given too previous (she by no skill did). that's no longer the case. as long as you have the skill to stand up to the trials of scientific college and residency, colleges have recognized that there are advantages to older scholars - they have an inclination to have greater existence adventure, credibility with sufferers, staying power, and so on. as nicely, interior the eyes of maximum persons, there is amazingly little difference between being 22 or 23 and being 24 or 25.

Yes, it's definitely worth it.
25 is still young, so it's not like you're going to be 40 and just getting out of college.
Imagine not going to college and working the same kind of job you do right now your whole life.
I'm sure it would suck.

That is a perfectly normal age at which to be doing this. You would only be a couple of years older than someone who did this right out of college. If you want to be a physician, it is absolutely worth it.

I am also a older student. I think that anyone with a passion for an education should go for it. You asked if it was worth it but you are the only one who can decide that. If it is something you feel good about and something you are ready to do then it is worth it. Education is something you have to decide on for yourself. Good luck...

If you're worried about the age thing, think about this. Yes you will be 29 by the time you just get out of medical school, but eventually you're going to be 29 anyway. You are still young (and even if someone is a lot older, they should still go for it!), but I know how you feel...I am 23 and it will take me two more years to finish my undergrad degree.

25 is still young. most people that apply to harvard med school are 24. it'll be worth it in the end. you don't want to regret not going to med school later on
