I want to spend a max of $250 for this upgrade.

Here is my current setup if it helps:
- ASUS Striker Extreme LGA 775 680i SLI ATX
- Thermaltake 750w Power Supply
- Corsair XMS2 Dominator 2GB
- Pentium D 3.4GHz
- XFX GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3

well sli is overrated if ya ask me......it looks good on benches, but in the real world the performance gain is nothing worth writing home about..........for 250.00 i would go for the 8800gt.......i just ordered 2 of them, not for sli, for a couple of pc's i have.......i had a 8600gts, these cards bury that thing........

Better just dual SLi using 8800.More powerful!!

if u got 250 u should sli the mother.

Hi. The SLI setup will almost always be faster.

duel 8800 is the way to go
