I wrecked my car and its been standing at this place for about two months now the fees are ridiculous, and the man won't release it unless I pay him for the car, its a 1999 vw jetta with 80k miles on it with a broken radiator and about 3000 $ worth of damage to the front right end. Im only 19 and Im broke so I can't afford to pay a 1,000 just to get it out then fees and everything would kill me. My question is what is going to happen if I just never pick it up?

this is terrible! it all happened because of one night of hungover driving... and listening to my dumb uncle who told me to get in my car in such state and go home!

After the time frame for storage has passed, the storage company can file an abandoned vehicle report and the storage company will sell it for scrap to a junk yard or auction it off. I'm not 100% sure of the time frame, but I beleave it's 90 days. The storage company could also send you a bill for storage fees and if you don't pay the required fees, they can take you to small claims court. Now, lets take this a step further. In small claims court you will more than likley lose the case. Now the storage company has a judgement against you. It's going to cost the storage company to attempt to collect on the judgement. If your not employed, they can't garnish wages. Set up a PO Box instead of a resident address. Move in with a friend, but your name and social security number can't show up anywhere. Now we are talking about closing your bank account(s).
Just trying to let you see the complete picture of what could happen. It may not, but just be ready for it.

It will sit in the tow truck junkyard until the owner comes for it or 30-60-90 (depending on your state laws) days later it is considered abandoned and the tow company can dispose of it at auction or for scrap. The legal owner of the car will get that money, minus daily charges and the tow charges (may or may not be anything left over). If it is totaled, your insurance will pay you and take the car's scrap value.
If you can't get it out, SAY SO TO THE COMPANY! If you tell them to dispose of it early, you might stop some of the daily charges and at least recover some money. However if the car's value doesn't cover the charges, you might be hounded by bill collectors. So either way, dispose of that car quick!

They put a lien on it and it will become theirs. If the towing and storage are more than the fair market value of the car, they may bill you for a remaining, outstanding balance. Many of these people are less than decent honest people. In your description of the car, they probably will not ask you for anything more. But they can. The car will then be wholesaled to a dealer that will repair it and resell it. Laws vary by state.
Go to the tow yard and tell them that you cant pay. If you really dont want the car, sign it over to them. Hell, they may even give you some money...

The wrecker yard that has your car gets to keep your car and either get it fixed themselves to sell or sells it as is after 90 days I think it is. They also can write it off as a lost cause and take it to the scrap yard for whatever they can get out of it. If you want to car, you have to come up with the money. If you are not going to come up with the money, the easiest thing to do is hand over the title if it is paid for. If it is not paid for, you will still owe the balance owed on the car to whoever financed the car. I am not 100% sure on the facts that I put here but this guy that I was seeing has a wrecker service and a car lot. I think that is what I remember him telling me happens to the cars that no one comes to get.

Either you pay all the fees or it's probably going into some sort of surplus in which they'll sell it for dirt cheap prices.

The lot will send you a final notice and then do a lien sale through the Department of motor vehicles and probably sell it at auction.

why don't you just work a deal out with the towing company. If you don't want the car anymore sign the title over to them and they may want $75.00 for their troubles.

After 30 days the lot can and will file for an abandoned title and then they own it and you don't.
