In your opinion, is it the human soul?

Not in a religious way but in a scientific way.It explains all the disillusions such as dream, astral projection, and god.

"Dreams and astral projections are very complex" - a big cortical component. And as for god, nothing explains god except humans' response to fear, hope and mystery.

That's what I mean.Do you know why we dream?
The pineal gland releases DMT.
DMT is the cause of atral projection.
But why will our body have this?

Why does it release DMT?

Since our first decedents came upon the idea of a "god" upon meditating, wouldn't the pineal gland be the cause of this?

Since there is no god, by default the origin will be the soul in some way. Thus the pineal gland.

The pineal gland is the body's clock. It regulates day/night cycles, internal rhythms, is responsible for release of mood-affecting hormones. It's simply a structure where complicated chemical and electro-neurological actions occur. Has a big effect on body and mood. Dreams and astral projections are very complex - a big cortical component. And as for god, nothing explains god except humans' response to fear, hope and mystery.

It's not the human soul.

No, it's an out of date concept that has been proved to be false. There is no central location within the brain where consciousness "comes together", there is no cartasean theatre of the mind.
The idea appeals dualists (like, for example Descartes) because it implies the mind and body are separate. Unfortunately for dualism, modern neuroscience has proved this wrong.

No. It's a mysterious part of the brain, often calcified.
You could project on it anything you want or not want.
But will remain a calcified mystery.
