Punctuality is a habit, and also a self confidence that you are ruling your own live, and are not being ruled by situations or using meek excuses for being late.
I am considered to be punctual, and when I give some one time, I make sure that he can correct his watch by my arrival. I've learned this from my father.
The simple rule is to act before it's already too late. In today's time when traffic and other unforseeable factors can affect punctuality, I try to keep these factors in my mind while starting for somewhere.

We can maintain punctuality in our daily life by writing our daily plan of action or activities to do. Keep that plan in your pocket or feed in your cell and maintain the punctuality. good luck.

When I was growing up my mother was always late. If we had to be somewhere at 3:00, we walked out of the door at 3:00. So, I always set my watch 10 minutes ahead. Even though I know it's 10 minutes ahead, it seems to get me there on time. Also, I used to do 5 different chores around the house in the hour before I had to go somewhere, now, I don't do anything but get ready within the hour I have to be somewhere.

By effective time management.List all the tasks of the day in the morning or previous evening, prioritise in order of importance and difficulty level; apportion time for each and close on dot even if you could not finish it(you can always come back to it when free) ,take one by one, one at a time, easy ones first if that is coming by the way,do not cram or in a hurry(that way nothing gets done),with these you can finish everything you listed and on time!

Prepare a to do list every day morning before you start your work or make it in the previous day night before you go to sleep. Every day update the previous days listing thus make a new listing. Practise to follow the to do list every day without fail. Have patience because in the beginning you may fail to stick up to the preparation of the list, and following the list of things to do in that particular day you have prepared. But believe me you are sure to win in your attempts if you have patience and sure one day you feel you have the punctuality at least in preparing a new list, that which may ultimately lead too to your goal of punctuality in your daily life.
