Theres alot of things it could be, from your diet to hormonal imbalance. If you aren't on any birth control you should geton some(even if you are not sexually active). It usually regulates your cycle to every 28-30 days. If it doesn't after say 3 months your dr. can look at other stuff like your thyroid or check to see if your ovaries are working properly.

How old are you and how long have you been having your periods? Lots of things can throw it off, from stress to hormone fluxuations to illness, etc. However, if they are consistantly that far off, i would suggest going to a gynecologist and getting hormone levels and such tested to make sure there isn't a problem, such as thyroid or PCOS.

It takes some time in order for your cycle and periods to become regular. This can take a year or more.

Also have you tried birthcontrol. Many people think you have to have sex in order to use birthcontrol. When I got my period, it was very irregular and that made my life miserable. Try speaking with your gynocologist and finding out what options are best for YOUR body. If you don't have a GYN doctor, you should since you have your period now. Welcome to womanhood!
