The best advice I can give you is to persevere. Whether it be for a school show, or professionally (if you decide you want to do that), you have to keep pushing and never give up. People might say things to try to break your confidence, but don't let it get to you. Know inside that you're talented. Take voice lessons, and keep practicing whenever you can. Sign up for an acting class/camp if there's anything available in your area. Read books about acting/singing/performing (check amazon.com, they have a lot of great stuff, or just borrow things from the library), and maybe take some dance classes too. Listen to lots of cast recordings so get to know a lot of different musicals (just because it's fun to know!). Keep doing plays like you did with Annie and you'll start building up experience and resume credits. It's all about having fun, so just keep doing what you love.

My advice is to take private singing lessons and to be in all the school plays. If you have specific questions about any part of acting, read my profile and write me at my aol address
