Large uromastyx, tegus, and monitors are too big.
But bearded dragons and little uromastyx are too small ...
So are there any lizards that fit the size I'm looking for ?

LOL...you're trying to cut hairs! Your window for sizing is very slim. If genetic engineering were possible it would be easy to get a "fit to size" lizard - but we ain't there yet!

You might look into plated lizards such as the black-lined plated lizard, or the G. m. bottegoi, or even the Sudan plated lizard. I have the G. m. bottegoi which is a very personable lizard. Easy to handle and close to 2'.

Frilled dragon? Basilisk? Chinese water dragon? Bearded dragons get 2' long. Don't know why that wouldn't do? Parson's Chameleon @ 26" - the largest cham, but difficult to keep. Actually - many of these species are difficult to keep. Basilisks stress easily, so do chams. Water dragons, plated lizards and beardies are personable and easy to handle. How about the Australian water dragon?

Female beaded lizard or gila monster? They come in at about 30". Not always very friendly and sometimes hard to handle. Gila monsters usually are - use gloves.

Check some of those species out for detailed care and see if any will fit your profile best, lifestyle, and ability to care for best...:-)

Happy hunting!

I've heard veiled chameleons can be around 2 feet long, but like most chameleons they require a LOT of work to take care of, so I'd do some serious research before getting one.
