yup...completely true...some women even have "good" feelings during labor...we talk about this kinda stuff all the time on a board I moderate on ( http://www.unassistedchildbirth.com/forums )
My last birth I tried to apply some of the info I learned and my birth wasn't completely painless...but it wasn't painful at all...intense maybe...took alot of quiet relaxation and focus which resulted in a short (2hour) natural beautiful labor....when it was over the first thing I said to my midwife was well that was easy lol!
I loved it so much we decided on another baby...We can't wait.
so yes, it's so possible!

I didn't feel anything with my second one until I got to 9.5 cm, then it hit hard! Fortunately it didn't last long. (Also fortunately I happened to notice the muscles feeling tighter then relaxing. I went to my doctor to be checked. Had I not noticed that, my baby would have been born at home with me all alone!) Forty-five minutes of that pain was do-able. I'd had some painful Braxton-Hicks contractions, too.
I have a sister who had minimal pain with at least one of hers. Each pregnancy is different.

I didn't have pain with my birth. Couldn't even tell when I was having contractions, the nurse had to tell me. It is possible, I slept until the dr. said I was ready. This is without pain meds! The nurse said she had never seen anything like it and that I must of been made for making babies. It made my mom sick because her labor was really bad.

I didn't have very much pain with either one of my boys. The doctors thought I was crazy. With my youngest I didn't feel any pain until they broke my water. I only had to deal with the pain for about 30 mins. I had no pain medicines with either one of my boys and had 6 hour labors for both. The second pregnancy I was induced.

I've heard of women like that, but I certainly am not one of them! Just remember to use breathing techniques. They really do work, but you have to remind yourself to breathe and not scream. It also helps to relax your body. Easier said than done though. It is perfectly fine to ask for an epidural if you have a low tolerance for pain. Some women say the epidural hurt, but in my case I labored for hours on pitocin with my water broken before I started to dialate. After that pain, I didn't even feel the epidural go in! I wish I had gotten it much sooner. Good luck and congrats on your baby!

Hehehe...sure, the women on epidurals feel no pain! ;-)
Sorry, I couldn't resist that. I suppose there could be some lucky (very) women out there with a high tolerance for pain that thought labor was a breeze, but if you are feeling such strong pains already odds are you are not one of those women.
But good luck to you...I hope I am wrong for you!

This is completely true base on my experience. I gave birth last month and thank God i did not feel any pain at all!!! I was 8cm and still im laughing and still talking my doctor and nurse who assisted me throughout. I guess i am one very very luck mom. They broke my water, that was when i felt the pain but still manageable. God bless to all pregnant moms! You might be like me

I had to laugh when I read this, i couldn't help it. For some reason I highley doubt its truth. My labor lasted 8 hours and was horribly painful until I got my epideral. I was dilating four times faster than the average woman in labor and could barely stand. I just can't imagine not feeling pain when your body gives birth!

Mine were more like menstrual cramps. Tough, but certainly liveable. So I was able to give birth without any pain medication. Yay!

I can't imagine that it's possible for it not to be painful! But, hopefully your experience will not be too bad.
Congrats!!!
