what schooling is required for me to become a pharmacist? how far can i go at a junior college and is it possible to do this with three children? they are all in school full time. I am thirty and i feel it might be too late. i live in illinois, any info you have let me know.
is it like going to school to become a doctor? or is it easier?

You'll need six years of a very specific curriculum of courses at the university level to obtain a Pharm.D. degree. Then, you'll have to pass an exam in the state in which you wish to practice.

"Easier" is relative. Becoming a registered pharmacist will take fewer years of formal education for most people.

However, you must have a high grasp of math and science before you can consider either one. Each course of study is highly demanding.

Well my best friend is in her senior year if high school and she is going to college to become a pharmacist. From what i understand she is going to go to Mass College Of Pharmacy & Medicine [i think thats the name] and she told me that its going to take 6 years for her to be an official pharmacist. but i know that they are certificate programs that you can take to become a pharmacy tech. which is like an assistant. it seems cool just not as much schooling and hardship which means not the same money but i think its good enough
