Been on the stage too much. I like being the audience. Let me tell you something, dear Robert, I make the best audience any theatre production has ever wanted. Much better than I did an actor. I love being the audience. No lines to remember, no sets to change, no NOTHING but sheer appreciation for an effort well made. I deserve an award for greatest audience, don't I?

In the sitcom which is my life, the audience is just an extension of the stage as it is in reality.
Some people are my co-stars and some are periphery actors while others are stage-hands, ie; the plumber you mentioned earlier and some are the audience.
There are also an unusually large number of critics in my personal sitcom but they are also the ones who can't do and so they simply criticize those of us who do, do.

It feels as though sometimes we are the props. When the curtain falls it's time to get off the stage. Break a leg !

WE ... sit, wherever gives us the best view. Sometimes it is the audience. Sometimes the wings. I, myself, prefer to be in either lights or sound. I make a much better SP FX than anything else. It can make or break the finest actor.

We are all of us merely players--except for the one guy who does the lights.
