yes i am. unlike many others in here, the questions here do sometimes bother me.
when i first came to yahoo answers i expected a more "academic" forum for philosophy questions. i did not expect questions like 99% of the ones that are posted in the philosophy section. questions that actually ask about the views of real philosophers such as David Hume, Locke, Kant, etc. and philosophical questions regarding morality, existentialism, identity, metaphysics, list goes on and on.
most of the questions here are junk, and not even really philosophical questions. so yes, i know how you feel. disappointed as i am, its still fun to read ppls questions.

"Bemused" or bemused? Why the quotations? I think most users of that word don't really understand what it means - which is to be placed into a state of muse - thoughtful, contemplative. And, no, frankly, not much here does that to me tho I am constantly surprised at how wise so many people are.

No... I truly enjoy the width and depth of questions and answers here, caring two hoots for how closely or otherwise they 'belong' to the so-called and so-defined Philosophy!! I am quite happy if this section is like a 'Sundries' one, so long as there are some questions and answers that make me think afresh.

Hmmm... may I offer a philosophical answer?
Philosophy itself is a philosophy, there for it does not exist and is meaningless.
My real opinion?
Yes! Some of the questions are ridiculous!

Please share your definition of philosophy?
As a psychologist I find philosophical discussions very fascinating.
As for me I am fascinated by what people think period. On whatever subject of their choice. Yes I do feel contemplative of people's definition of philosophy but philosophy itself is a rather lucid word to define.

sometimes, other times it's amusing what people answer. Some ideas of philosophy in the answers are just plain foolishness.

No. I am worried that our professors, universities, and public people who "spout" philosophy are not teaching the rudiments of philosophy in a way that is objective, logical, and has anything to do with reality.
Today I've seen these as "questions:"
"I see dead people."
"What is your new year's resolution?"
"Why can't I have anything I want?"
"Am I real?"
This terrifies me, because these people will grow further into adulthood thinking that logic is not necessary because we do not exist; or because life is futile; or because--you name it.

Who cares what some of the people think? For that matter, who cares what most of the people think?
