what qualification if needed to....?

if one is interested in working in the cosmetics industry, I mean working with the chemicals and being involved in the production of the make up. i.e :working in the lab. What qualifications are needed to do so?

I would pursue a degree in chemistry and maybe also do something in the fashion industry - whether a minor, a second major, or an internship or two.
