Don't want to change it because it go great with the way I am writing the story.

My title is not commonly used like what most are saying...I looked it up to see if there were similiar titles and about the subject

Yes, you can because the author is different. The same for songs, movies and television shows.

Unless the title itself has been copyrighted (or contains words which have been copyrighted, such as a character's name), which is rare. Normally the book as a total entity is copyrighted and not the title separately. So you couldn't title a book "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".

Lets just say for a moment that your name is Melissa. You could write the title as Melissa's War and Peace. But you could not write the title War and Peace, by Melissa. Your publisher or editor will have the very best advice for you and they will likely not print it until they find a suitable title. (Legal in other words). I would just turn your copy in with your title and sort out the details at a later date.

Yes you can. Lots of books have the same title. Your publisher will probably have an opinion on this.

Yes, within reason. I mean, if you called your book "The Old Man and The Sea," people might think you were kind of weird for keeping that title.

Honestly, I don't know for sure, it seems like you should be able to as long as the book is not the same all the best on your project.

depends on the tittle.


if you wrote a book and called it "to kill a mockingbird, or "oliver twist" yea that will be an issue.
