@GrimWeeper I don't know how Matt Flynn proved Rodgers wasn't valuable. Just the opposite in my mind. Matt Flynn proved that Rodgers is not only a valuable player, but a valuable mentor. Matt Flynn didn't take anything away from Rodgers season, because Matt Flynn's statistics weren't manufactured by a system. I don't know of any system that can be accredited for a quarterback throwing 6 TD's in a single game. Matt Flynn wasn't relying on his receivers to make circus catches and he was operating behind a makeshift offensive line. What I saw was a quarterback throwing as accurate a long bomb as anyone ever has, checking down to other options when appropriate, turning penalties against the defense into improbable touchdowns, and throwing touchdowns off of designed running plays. What I saw was Matt Flynn turn in one of the top 5 quarterback performances all season. Stats are not as important as performance, and although Flynn certainly had great stats it is his incredible performance that is much more impressive. To credit the system for the game Matt Flynn had would be an injustice towards Flynn. And what part of the system would we credit anyway? Flynn was without his only Pro-Bowl receiver in Greg Jennings as well as Randall Cobb. Even considering Jordy Nelson was a Pro-Bowl snub, one Pro Bowler's help doesn't account for 480 yards and 6 TD's. What many are seemingly suggesting by calling Flynn's game a "system" performance is that practically all the starters on Green Bay's offense were snubbed a Pro Bowl. The only system is that Ted Thompsons finds underestimated talent with a high ceiling and Mike McCarthy's coaching staff develops them into the best possible quarterbacks they can be. Putting a legendary quarterback on the field is the system for Green Bay. I don't understand why people refuse to acknowledge Flynn simply is an outstanding quarterback with a lot of potential. A backup can't become a great quarterback? Didn't Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, and Warren Moon all begin as low-round pick to undrafted backups? The only thing Flynn proved is that he'll make whatever team signs him in free agency this offseason very happy.

If it wasn't for the crappy weather in the bears game it would have been a tie with Favre and Brady. I'm sure it will just be Brady, even though I think Favre deserves it more because he is the bigger factor on his team. The number Brady put up though are impressive. I hope for co-mvp
