Seeing how he is sucking up $2 million a year, should the Leafs waive him since goalies are going chep right now?

Before Saturday night, I would've said that that was crazy. Now, it's only quasi-crazy. Raycroft's a pretty decent goalie. Have you forgotten the shutout and the amazing performance he had at the beginning of the season? Of course not, Leafs fans has the attention span of a gnat. And what do you mean that goalies are going cheap?

The problem is he has poor rebound control and his defense craps out on him and Toskala; Toskala can recover from that major flaw much better though. I think Ferguson can still get something out of Raycroft, like a fourth round pick or something like that. Hey, it's still better than nothing.

Go Leafs go.

What's the point ?
JFJ doesn't seem to know what he's doing when it comes to spending money. If we save a million or two here and there, he'll just waste in on long term contracts for other overrated and downright mediocre players.
We need to waive JFJ before we consider any players.

Maybe, waive good-bye. Although, what if Toskala's health remains a concern. I think he is a better option than Clemmonson or Pogge.

its the defense in toronto thats a problem, not the goaltending. too many offensive dmen, with Hal Gill being the only true defensive 'specialist' (thats if you consider hal gill anything). the team needs to trade for d's, and a few defensive forwards.

the way the team has looked the last few times ive seen them play, they look done. they have no desire, from Sundin through the rest of the jobbers - theyve thrown in the towel (and early!)

Yeah. maybe.

They just need all the help they can get unfortunately.
I'm actually a semi-Leaf fan, and hate to see them lose against teams I reeeally hate. =b

Depends who they can get for him.

I'm thinking Tampa is in need of a goaltender, but I'm not seeing a Raycroft-St.Louis trade going down any time soon.
