If its an oven in your home I think you should be ok with low heats, check with your doctor just to be sure. If its a kiln no! No one should ever lean over or reach into a kiln until its cool enough to remove the pieces inside. This is so dangerous for anyone regardless if they have a medical condition or accessories or are perfectly healthy. You can be badly burned and end up in the hospital. If your teacher or instructor is having you unload a kiln at an unsafe temperature, go tell who's ever above them they aren't responsible enough to be handling a class (you can report them to the board if need be). If you're doing this on your own just wait to unload it so you don't wind up hurting yourself (have a phone near by). But in general, if its off and or cooled down enough you should be fine.

Having looked up mediport, I would take considerable caution and check with doctor. It doesn't appear to go very far under the skin and excess radiant heat could easily damage the meds inside.
