Ive been on the shot for a yr. Im going off because ive gined to much weight. Im not in a relationship. how long will it take to be all out of my body?

Reason for going on it; Single young(17) mother of a 20 month old boy.

My daughter was on it for a couple years. She stopped it about 3 months ago and still has no period. I looked it up on the search and it can take up to 10 months or so, but they say still use protection, in case you could get pregnant.

I hope she does start soon so we will know that she can get pregnant someday.====

It took me 10 months to get my cycle back an my buddy 18 months. I have been given pregnant 3 months attempting after cycle back yet frend took yet another 6 months. the dep. shot impacts people in a distinctive way. After 2 years i could see your GP to work out if there is something they are able to do to kick initiate your hormones back

While it truly depends on the person(hormones differ from person to person), anywhere from 12-18 months later.
BUT - if you aren't ready for another baby, find and use another form of birth control no matter what. Nothing is 100%.

Girl I do not know!! My depo shot lasted for almost a year,about 10 months. I finally got my period after!! They stay in your system for a while!! I do not know it may depend on each individuals person see your doctor!!

It could be fine immediately after getting off of it but the residual effects could last at least a year.

usually after 3 months is worn off use another type of Birth Control.
