If the battery does not hold a charge you may need to replace it. They are only good for about 2 years.

Just a quick troubleshooting test-

1- With the AC Adapter in, take the battery out and turn it on.... does it work?

2- With the Battery in and the AC Adapter out turn it on.... does it work?

If you answered yes to 1, then the DC converter is bad.

If you answered yes to 2, then the AC Adapter is getting juice, and/or causing a short, to the laptop.

If you answered no to both, then most likely the mainboard is shot and needs replaced. Contact the manufacturer or a reputable local repair shop.

Your battery flatlined. It has to have a little extra juice above 0% before it can run again. Let it charge and see if that works.

Do you have an AC adapter to check that the laptop itself is working properly.
