Never use a link in an e-mail like that, its fake, you can delete it or contact paypal security, they might want you to send them a copy of the e-mail so they can trace it back to the sender.

You can't just email Paypal about something this serious. All you will get is an automated response triggered by their computer system. You must call them and speak to a Paypal operator so they can explain exactly why this has happened, and whether or not there is anything they can do to fix this for you.

Sounds like the email you received could be a phishing email. I really hope you didn't click ANY link in that email and log in or type in your log-in information. If you followed a link in that email and typed in your information, you've given your user name, password, and any banking information stored on paypal to a hacker and a thief.

Ignore that email, don't open it, close it, open internet explorer and type www.paypal.com in the address bar of your browser and hit enter. Then look at and keep an eye on the account, it would probably also be a good idea to change the username and/or password and to contact paypal customer support and talk to them about the phishing email.

DO NOT click to verify any info!!!!! It's a scam. Any email from paypal will be addressed to you....such as "Dear John Doe." If it does not have your name like that, it is NOT from paypal. You need to forward that email to spoof@paypal.com. Also, you can go straight to your paypal account to verify any info they might need. It would say on your account if there is some type of problem.

Sounds phishy. Do NOT click the link. Type in the address and confirm the SSL cert is authentic.

In IE
http://www.microsoft.com/protect/yourself/phishing/spoof.mspx

After doing so you can log in and verify.
