New years is grossly overrated and is really just an excuse for people to get plastered out of their minds. Just relax and enjoy it as you would any other passing evening. It's fun to watch all the empty-souled partiers trying to pretend that they are having great fun. Trust me... They are often crying inside.

i'll my place of origin's fireworks show and stay overall performance (as a results of fact it extremely is one in each of my prominent previous bands). That value us $25 (total - somewhat a deal particularly) Then we are going to in all probability spend approximately $25 on the fireworks stand for stuff to easy on hearth ourselves. My Dad lives on a highway of persons who're particularly into fireworks so there is in many circumstances somewhat a show because of utilizing status and searching at down the way. i like fireworks.

Being alone can be a bitter pill to swallow, but sometimes it can be desirable. I don't know why you are alone, but evidently, you do not wish to be. Any time you want someone with you, close your eyes and imagine them there with you. It's a poor substitute, but it can sometimes ease the agony just a bit, at least for a short time. There are times I wish to be alone, and times I want to be with friends, and times I want someone special. I don't always get what I want, but I try, and keep going.

Yes, just turn on the TV and watch some shows while you are tucked in in bed. Eventually you will fall asleep and you haven't missed a thing.

Put on some good music, and call some friends long distance who are also spending the night alone.
"When your day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries n everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go, (hold on)
If you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on
'Cause everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
When you think you've had too much of this life so hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts. You are not alone"

I understand your sadness Moon. I will be by myself at midnight too. But seeing as this is my 50th New Year's Eve, I know that tonight's status has nothing to do with tomorrow's, it's not really a harbinger of the year to come, and it's just one of the many various ways I will celebrate the changing of the calendar in my lifetime. It's this variety that makes life both a challenge and a reward.
You will have happier New Year's Eves, and you will have times where celebrating is the furthest thing from your mind. Appreciate tonight for what it is - the end of one day and the beginning of another. The mystery of what lies ahead is what keeps us moving forward.

Hey, I know it's a bit sad...but it is transitory. there are always a couple of days in the year that can bring you a little down if things don't work out as you planned...cos even the best-laid plans go awry!
I was supposed to spend my New Year's Eve with my godson and his family...but a friend of theirs turned up unexpectedly, with her defacto partner (a real putz!) and their combined six kids. But...I had spent three days there over Christmas and the weather is bad (summer storms) and it's a 100km trip...so I will see my godson again when it's less hectic in their small house. And my friends can't stand the defacto guy anyway...so know I couldn't put up with him for this night!
The back-up plan was a movie with a friend who has been going through a rough patch...but the cinemas closed after the 7PM sessions and we didn't know they would. He is very depressed and decided to have a shower and an early night, since the movies wereout. And to get out to his place I would have to cross a causeway bridge that is 3km long...and we have a cyclone front moving northwards up the coast which makes it all but impossible to drive there tonight!
And the third back up plan was to go into the City to the Southbank parklands for the big NYE party and fireworks for 9pm and Midnight. party, soggy from the rain and wind as it is, is still going ahead, but the fireworks got cancelled!
So instead I am having some nice food, getting New Year's Eve calls from some friends, watching some classic Alfred Hitchcock DVDs and having a glass or two of shiraz, and going out tomorrow instead! And the bonus is a friend is shouting me to the Cyndi Lauper concert when she is here in March!
So...although things may not work out as planned, if you keep a positive mind you can still see in the New Year with a glad heart and know that things will be better in the morning.
And at least you can sit back and watch the fireworks, because you are not being rained on and there isn't a cyclone off your coast!
You have a great New Year:-)
