It's bad to get hit anywhere really hard. If it bothers you, go see a doctor.

Depends on how hard you got hit.

If there's no bruising, then probably not.

Is there bruising? Broken skin? Were you lactating at the time? Did you get hit in the nipple-areolar complex, or did you get hit elsewhere on the breast?

So long as there's nothing coming out of your breast (milk/blood/serous fluid), you're probably fine.

Regardless, treat it with lots of TLC, put a cold compress on it if the swelling bothers you, and remember to gently palpate it once or twice a day, checking for any sudden changes deeper inside.

If there was any broken skin, keep the wound clean, put some topical antibiotic on it and cover with a bandage/dressing.

If you're worried, then see your family doc. There's no sense worrying needlessly.

If the pain is so bad that you can't sleep (and pain meds aren't helping), you'd best go to hospital and get it looked at.

Bottom line: if things are noticeably different than what you'd expect from your body (and you likely know your body better than anyone else does), get it looked at sooner rather than later.

Probably just swelling or bruising. If it's really bad then see a doctor, but it will likely be okay in a couple days. I got hit with an airbag once in the chest. My right breast was black and blue for a week, but I was just fine.

Well yeah. Brest tissue is not strong and it's not made to take a hit. Feeding babies is its purpose. Why would you hit yourself there anyway?

WDF? u can't get breast cancer from being hit in your chest. WDF?? wow, that's the dumbest shyt I've ever heard. Girl, calm down. You'll be fine hun. *I'm not a freak* but massage it to make sure you're blood is circulating fine. Wow, you have to develop cancers....you don't just get them from getting hit really hard. LMAO. I'm still laughin at that.

But then again, a real injury can be bad. Still get it checked out, but you won't get cancer or a tumor.

It is no more serious than being hit in any other part of the body. There is a superstition that it can cause breast cancer. That is wrong.

I know that it does not make it hurt less. I once had a girlfriend who accidentally slammed her breast in the upper drawer of a chest-of-drawers. She laughed about it later, but there were tears in her eyes when it happened.

Probably not. When my coach was in school she was a base in cheerleading and got hit very hard quite often, and she's just fine. I have been hit multiple times as well, and it hurts, but is not necessarily bad for your health.

Anywhere that gets hit really hard is bad. If it hurts consult a doctor.

You should probably make sure nothing is wrong with it anyway. See a doctor.

First off, if a guy is abusing you, report him ASAP!!! I don't care if it is your father, husband, or whoever, report this person, and get help!

There could be some problems. You may have a broken blood vessel. If its bruising, turning a dark red, and you're feeling a throbbing pain, get to the doctor ASAP! I hope you will be O.K., both physically and psychologically. Take care.

You should get it checked but don't panic over cancer scares and what not. I'm sure women have taken pretty hard hits the chest before. There are female kick-boxers for god's sake.
