Depends on where you are#! A pound is a unit for WEIGHT, but the Kilogram is a unit of MASS.

On the surface of the earth, 2.2 kg is ~ equal to one pound.

BUT, say you measure 220 pounds on the earth, you would have a mass of 100 kg. If you go to the moon, you will now weigh about 36.7 pounds, but you will still have a mass of 100 kg.
