A single super volcano eruption can have a temporary cooling effect on the earth almost immediately with it's ash in the atmosphere reflecting sunlight back out into space.
Humans have been burning fossil fuels since almost the entire industrial revolution in factories and refineries. Motor vehicles throw even more gasses into our closed atmospheric system and fossil fuel power plants too.
It would be a unsound to think that all over the world this air pollution is having no effect on the climate of the earth. The changes we are experiencing of polar ice melt is happening in short years not centuries as we have gone past the earth's ability to sustain the same enviroment.
Scientists agree that they have not measured any significant solar output increase to be causing climatic change.

I believe that most of what we take for granted as fact now, will be proven false in the future. The current idea of man made global warming is similar to Galileo's revelation that the Earth rotates around the sun. People didn't believe it at first because it was such radical idea, but over time it became common knowledge. My guess is that in the future, it global and local climate control will be common knowledge, and the beginning of that science is where we are today.
The solution will not destroy our economy. It will just shift power and money centers from oil to renewable energy companies. What will destroy our economy is inaction.
Oh yeah, my answer to the question. No, I don't think they believe the world is flat and the center of the universe, they just aren't convinced our activities cause or reduce global warming.

Speaking of dogmas.....
Your foolish Liberal BS is showing. What do you want? To destroy the economy of the entire western world? Is that what it would take to make you happy?
Even IF global warming was occurring because of human activity, what would you do? Kill the humans? Starve them to death? You don't think very far ahead, do you?
Recently, after a glacier melted in Canada, they discovered 7,000 year old TREE stumps. So, it was warm enough over 7,000 years ago for trees to grow up there. I will say this slowly so you MIGHT understand.... THEY d-i-d N-O-T h-a-v-e S-U-Vs 7,000 years ago, therefore there must be some other reason for the warmth back then. I know you won't really believe it unless Al Gore says it, but it is true. If you were smart enough to use the google search engine, you might even find other obvious evidence. Not likely.

Why are you so pompous? Are you a Harvard grad? Their are credible scientists on both sides of this issue, with many believing that this may be part of a natural cycle. So, unless your an expert, you should not be so hateful with your argument.
I am with you on conservation though. Clean Earth and energy efficiency.
EDIT: Political Point: The Democrats, who want to tax us to death and then provide for us, appreciate this issue because then they can have an excuse to take our cars away from us and force us to use public transportation. Read "Brave New World" or "1984".
This is a great issue for politicians to jump in and provide for the public. We can then all be herded into tiny tin buses and hauled off to our place of employment. 'No Driving Allowed'.

I don't believe in Global Warming. The Earth is getting hotter but think about it. When the Earth was covered in glaciers they melted before there was hairspray, or cars, or whatever else they say is causing global warming. I believe that the Earth has it's own cycles and nothing we do can help that.

If you have not study solar cycles, then I am unable to help you recover from your ignorance ! Our SUVs are not causing the polar ice caps on Mars to melt. The issue is an excuse to tax us into poverty...a global tax. No representation even if increases in taxation happen. Wake up !

It's amazing how these alarmists "create" facts. The "Consensus" was fabricated. Many of those in the consensus actually disagreed.
some say 98% of scientists believe it. 97 of theose 98% know nothing about the climate and there is no way to get 98% of scientists on to agree on anything.
