oh give the liberals another 100 years or so, unchecked... then a Muslim nation would be a blessing compared to what they (liberals) have in mind.

It could happen. But over here it is more likely that if we don't fix the illegal immigration situation and stop Democrats from creating harbor/sanctuary cities we will probably become a Latin nation. Which is still far better than what is happening over there.
Mexicans are mostly Catholic and good people. The illegal thing, however, really, really tees me off. And I don't want the US to become predominately Latino.
EDIT: hey supercritic, it is happening and books have been written about it. One of them that I read is called "Death of the West". The numbers and truth behind the words are frightening. Socialist Europe is too liberal and needs a new source of tax dollars. This has caused mass immigration, mostly to Turkey, Germany and France.

just to be clear, i am a christian...
first, i don't see england or france to be turning into muslim nations. yes, they have high numbers of immigrants who are muslims, but they also have high numbers of polish, romanian, etc. as a result of the eu work visa program started, but i'm sure you know about that.
america is not going to turn into a muslim nation. it is more or less the turn of the middle east to have their wave of immigration into our wonderful country. the past few decades of oil money have made it to the masses of the middle eastern countries and they can now afford to emigrate in an attempt to either flee conflict or simply make a better life for themselves and their families. we have not had large populations of muslims in the histroy of our still young country. i believe that the awareness of their arrival is a result of the centrality that the muslim religion plays in the daily lives of its followers. there are exceptions, there are muslims who do not practice as devoutly as others just as in any other religion and there are people of other faiths who give just as much of their daily lives as practicing muslims. there's an argument that the christian majority is being forced to conform to the muslim faith, but this is still a nation of religious freedom and it isn't conformity we are being faced with, it's change. there is now something new and to what some chrisitians may see as extreme presenting itself in our country. i feel that the best thing for us to do is not worry that we are facing imminent takeover. it sounds ridiculous, right (i hope)? just be understanding that this is a new and different culture, practice tolerance, and often you will receive understanding and tolerance in return.

Nope. Even moderate Muslims don't like extremist Islam, so they won't come over here and turn America into a "Muslim nation."
The one thing we are is a nation of law and order, which is why Osama bin Laden must be brought to justice. He's not in Iraq.

There are 5-6 million Muslims in the USA as opposed to 230 million Christians in the USA. So, what's that? 2.5%?

France - Muslims make up about 5% of France's religious community

England - Muslims make up about 3.4% of the religious community.

All these countries are a long, long way from being "Muslim nations".

The whole question would be a moot one if "organized" religion did not exist. Much of the turmoil, anger, death, wars and such can be laid at the foot of one organized religion or another. Do not confuse belief in a higher being, higher purpose and your faith with organized religion and its trappings of buildings, rules and regulations. No one needs a church, mosque, synogog, priest, rabbi, pastor, elder, et al to be a good person.

Oh, I think it would be better than turning into a Mexican country or annexation thereof. How ridiculous a question. You are ill. Go back to Mexico, and be done with you.
