a few hundred. but... most hospitals dont need you to pay upfront. they just send you a bill later.

you should try going to planned parenthood. they are much more affordable, and will bill you according to your income.

here is their website. it has a location finder so you can find one near you:

***what the hell--does someone on here have something against planned parenthood? this is exactly where she needs to go--its A LOT cheaper than going to the Dr. for BC pills. pills from a dr prescription at a pharmacy are almost $50 or more, and from a planned parenthod center, they are as low as $10... why would anyone give this a thumbs down? planned parenthood helps lots of uninsured girls who cant afford to pay for Dr. bills. its a good service and prevents many unwanted pregnancies.

You physician's office should have give you a dollar amount for an office visit whether you are an existing or current patient. If you were referred to this physician by another doctor or emergency department, they usually are obligated to see you at least one time. This doesn't mean that you are not responsible for payment. Normal fees could range anywhere from 50$ to 150$ depending on the physician. Any labwork or cultures that may be done should either be billed to your insurance company, and you should be able to make payment arrangements for them.

The office visit (and it can vary from practice to practice) may be about $40. Another way you can find out is to call the office and ask to speak to the Office Manager to find out about the cost so that you can work out a lower price for the visit (I did that one time when I had to pay out of pocket for a doctor's visit several years ago).

Atleast 150 dollars. I would call my local planned parenthood or health department. Both will do low cost and sometimes free exams. They usually offer you low cost pills/condoms. Check it out. They can base it on your income. You could save money and still be safe and healthy.
