Would this card run on a 305W power supply?

I don't have much installed in the computer, only a hard drive and a DVD drive.

I actually have this exact same video card. (even bought it from Newegg too) I have my whole setup running on a 550W including two HD's, two DVD drives, and two of those video cards (SLI).
So in conclusion, I'm sure it would be able to handle it, but I would most deffinetley recommend getting a better one.
If you look on Newegg at some of the power supplies that Rosewill has, it isn't too expensive. I have a Rosewill 550W and it does the job with flying colors.

What you need to do is look in your computer manual for what types of video cards it supports. It is difficult to know if your system can handle this one or not, but the chances are good that it does.
I say "chances", because, unless and until you check your motherboard specs you can't be 100% sure. If, for some reason, you do not have a manual, contact your manufacturer and see what type of video card and video card memory your particular setup can handle. If you do not have a phone number, go to the website and locate an email address, or phone number to technical assistance.
If you built your system yourself, then look in the specs for the motherboard. It should say somewhere on the box what type of video card is best.
Usually, most motherboards can handle both ATI and NVidia, but mine, for example, works best with ATI. It states so right in my motherboards specifications. While it says I could use a NVidea, or G-Force, it still says that ATI is the best choice.
So, check out the specifications for your particular motherboard, or contact your computer manufactuter and ask technical support what your best options are.
It looks like a great video card. While I prefer the ATI cards, my husband and I installed an NVidea in his, and it works as good as mine does. However, his motherboard also supports Nvidea over ATI, or so it says in the motherboard specifications. lol
I am not a huge gammer, so do not change out my video card often. I usually keep one for two years before upgrading it to a newer model, but gammers will upgrade theirs as often as every three months.
Just be absolutely sure before you order it because while New Egg has great products and prices, they charge a 15% "restocking fee" if anything needs to be returned, even if the box has never been opened. Which is why I much prefer shopping at our local Fry's Electronic's store, as I can buy a item, try it out even, and if for any reason it doesn't fit my needs, I can easily return it within an hour or two, get a replacement, and not pay 15% of my price to do so.
Just a bit of advice before purchasing Online. It is a great deal if it is indeed what you can utilize for your system.
Good luck and much fun with whichever video card you decide to purchase.

use this calculator for wattage.........plug in the specs ya got and the card ya want to buy and it will give ya a pretty close reading on how much wattage ya need. i know evga 7600gt take 400 watt psu, so i dont think this is gonna be any different...........heres the calculator, its a good one.........its not really the wattage ya need, its the amps of the 12v rails that matter.......that why they recommend more wattage than what the card actually needs...........

if you have enough spare plugs it should work otherwise try a card without a fan, my 8600 series take the power of 2 hard drives
you should have atleast 2 ports free for power (probably enough)
