As an American, it seems like a very unusual thing for one family to have an enduring reign over a country's politics. Nightmarish in a sense. Today, we may be in a turning point in America where this will become a reality on America's political landscape. If Hillary Clinton is elected President, we would have had a Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton pattern in our government for almost two decades. Dynasties? Maybe. I hope that this would never be the case in our country which has been the leading Democratic Republic in the world. Although, now that Chelsea Clinton is on the campaign trail with Hillary; I think that my nightmares may be closer to reality today than ever before. A Bush controlled Republican Party, and a Clinton controlled Democratic Party.
Could we be headed toward a political future in which a few families rule the direction of this countries government and few new faces are seen in power? Is this possible? If the answer is yes, does the possibility scare you?

First and foremost I am not against any female candidate for President. I am against anyone that I believe is the wrong candidate, of any race or gender, running for President. If a bad President is elected, they'll unfortunately be my bad President also. I am not at all against a woman president, but only if it is the right woman. If Jeb Bush was running on the Republican side, the Bush Family would also be included. If we had another Kennedy running, I would also be worried.

I personally think you're overreacting. It's been a cycle but then again Hillary Clinton is the right candiate for the job!If you choose not ot vote for her for that reason alone I strongly suggest you reevaluate the way you think about this election.
Remember,George Bush and Hillary Clinton are from two different political parties so their ideas and beliefs differ greatly from one another. Also,George Bush drove this country into to the ground both economically and internationally;not to mention has tied up our valuable miltary resources.Bill Clinton on the other hand, handed us a budget surplus and gave us 8 years of peace, prosperity, and growth. Not to say he didn't have flaws but no ones perfect. There are people out there that might feel Hillary should have left Bill after the whole Monica Lewinsky thing but that in itself was a personal choice. It dosen't make her a weak person. In fact,I think it makes her a strong person. The fact that she didn't let anything or anyone get in the way of her ambition should speak volumes for her character. And THAT is something we should ALL look for in a president!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why it is so difficult to imagine a woman as president..Hillary is not done by any stretch of the imagination..
However, at this point in our nation's strategic needs for a strong person in charge, I think all the people should really look very closely at each candidate and pick the one who will protect our country....If you look back at Clinton's administration, our country was not in the dilemma it faces now...so, before you vote, you better really think long and hard about our country's interests and needs.
A few families HAVE run our country for a long time, but at least there are TWO parties involved...In the event a person was elected and could not control our country and be taken over by ONE party, that would scare me...take care....

My first take on hearing the Hill o Beans was running was this thought. I remembered how she sucked up and stayed with Master Bill after his jerk off ways. I thought and asked, why would such a woman stay with this pork doodle dancy?
I kinda always suspected it was not for love ...but rather for power (money rhymes better). I think she's hot for name and fame. Ist Woman Pres. etc.
My second thought was, are we a Democracy or and some kind of Monarchy? Who in their right mind, would elect the wife of a previous President? Things ain't that good in the USA. We don't need a repeat of the Clinton years.
Yes I am scared. Not just about your thoughts but about much other even more serious bad news in this country right now. This kind of scareyness is babyland compared to the idea of a country, a Democracy being run by large Corporations and their sway and reason. Think about it a bit and I guarantee you it will curl your toes!

I think before Hillary Clinton is done, we need to convince Jeb Bush to run for President. Keep the pattern going!

We are going to be at 20 years of Bush/Clinton rule even if Hillary isn't elected.
Don't forget Bush 1 was the vice president as well.
PLEASE don't vote for the same old crap 9(i.e. Hillary C.)!

The case of U.S. is different. U.S. elections are done by "vote" from the beginnings of time. Though the process is still the same in Pakistan and in India, these countries used to have monarchy. So the attachment of people to a particular daughter/son of a king/previous PM is national and patriotic.

Pardon me for asking, but what does the Bhutto Family in Pakistan have to do with the Clinton Family in the United States? It is really not unusual for a daughter to accompany her mother for support - at any event - unless of course, you are down on women. The Bush-Clinton pattern, as you call it, can be broken. It is called the "vote".

i think the pattern yourseeing is correct
but you need to look into the deffinition of 'dynasty'
your using it in a ... not so correct context in my opinion
i mean, i guess it makes sense. but this is not a monarchy
so it cant be termed as a 'dynasty'
your exxagerating a bit i tihnk
i honestly hate american politics and its a dream to get out of america and this mess
i honestly will deffinatly consider moving if clinton becomes president
i really really dont like her
and im a female democrat
