It's good you actually attempted to try....................I don't think you have a good chance because of your SAT scores and low GPA..............but seeing you're a minority..........maybe.....................

If you are applying to the College of Liberal Arts or the Engineering school, you have a shot -- though you are far from a sure thing. Your grades and Math SATs are where they need to be. Your Verbal score is your only real weakness. I think Wharton is out of the question.

Penn is a private school, so the fact that you live in Pennsylvania will not help you.

-------------------------------------
Someone said your GPA is too low. They were probably thinking about weighted, not unweighted GPA. Your GPA shouldn't be a problem. Someone else said that you will have a better chance as a transfer student. That is NOT true at Ivy League schools. They take few transfer students. Princeton doesn't take any. SOmeone else suggested Temple or Drexel -- but you can do MUCH better.

Good luck.

Well, you didn't waste your time because you'd never have a chance if you didn't at least try. The math scores look good and they might give you some slack on the reading score because of that. Also, you've got a lot of other things going on that look good for you (languages, AP classes, volunteer experience, etc.).

And you can always do some studying for the reading portion of the SAT and retake it. If you do that, the school will get the better score. Most libraries carry books on the SAT that you can use to practice for the test and learn how to approach the test better. Or you can even hire a tutor to help you improve.

If you don't make it in, you can always go to a community college for two years and then try again. Usually it is easier to get into a university as a transfer student, especially because they'll look more at your college record than at test scores and grade averages.

Sorry to inform you; UPenn is the #5 ranked school in the nation and a member of the Ivy League. Your SAT Verbal basically put your out of the running. Your Subject II scores are not shining exactly. 3.72 Unweighted GPA is not that impressive; being Asian doesn't help your chances (it actually hurts your chances). UPenn doesn't care about your state residency.

I am sure you will get into other fine colleges, but UPenn is basically out the questions.

I think you will be fine.

Relax !

Apply to other schools too, not just U. Penn, try Temple, Drexel as well.
