we got a tortoise 4 day ago and it lives in the garden we couyld find it each day so yesterday i saw it like a little before we couldnt find it but then when we came to look for it it wasnt there usually it walkes around a little in a small area of the garden we looked in the plants and nothing ill look today again but how can we coax it to come out it doesnt know where its eating spot is yet cause its been here so little days so it has to adjust so how can we get it to come out

it's getting colder and probably burried itself for the winter..look for it quickly. I had one that dug its way to the neighbors yard then went down the street.maybe you can keep it in a kind of enclosure until the weather warms up in the spring. The farther it goes under the harder it will be for you to find it.

I would actually dig for him, he may have decided it's time to hibernate. Especially look at the base of plants and trees. Look for loose soil and dig around for him. Chances are good he may have burrowed in.
