Tell her you have to go pee, take the dog out, help your dad move some stuff, help your sister with her hair, heard something fall and need to go check it out, your mom is giving you the "get off the phone" signal. Just remember what you told her this time so you use a different excuse next time.

Be honest. Say "I've enjoyed talking with you, but it's time for me to go now. Shall we continue our chat later?" Feel free to express a specific time so that she knows you are sincere.

Just say
"err mum needs the phone gotta go sorry"
or.. if you don't live with anyone else
"oh I just got this important message I need to call ____"
(and just leave the phone off the hook)
Or just the usual "my phone is outta battery I'm gonna have to go" and switch it off =P

You just tell her it's time for you to go, and you'll speak to her again soon...then finish with take care or goodbye or whatever closing you desire, and hang up.

Say " Hey TONE wants to talk to you". then hang up...she will get it ones she hears the tone on the other side..
