No. That's what 's called a 'control freak' - a domineering person who will ruin one's self-esteem. They place restrictions and guilt on their victims and it's a from of mental abuse.
I've done lots of non-professional counselling for people suffering under such duress.

Lol! Hey that's why they call it first date right? Its a good thing that you can pick up things like that. It keeps you from getting into future trouble and less worries. A individual such as your description can be of disaster in your relationship. Its nice that you can sense that, cause its telling you that this person is a control freak. And hey maybe that person can be good for someone else who knows? Lol. Hey what you do in your life really its about you and how you want to be treated. Look for happiness and its details in a relationship. Okay good to you and take care.

I figure that anyone with that much to complain about me doing needs to go find somebody who gives a damn what they think. That person cannot be happy with me the way I am and have those complaints. I agree with you, life is too short to need to answer to anyone. To thine own self be true. I think Shakespeare might have said that and it makes perfect sense to me!

No. God and that i've got an affiliation the place I cope with God as somebody else's Deity, and God leaves me nicely sufficient on my own. each so normally, we occasion and have a giggle approximately people who won't be in a position to somewhat cope with the belief of me no longer "Having God in my existence", and then we pass back to our respective lives. that's an extremely civilised affiliation. by the way, I particularly have the comparable affiliation with all the Gods. it extremely is greater handy that way.

Definitely not. One of my best friends has gotten into the habit of doing that (criticizing everything I say and do). I'm thinking about breaking it off with them, slowly, because it's something nobody should really have to deal with from their friends or lovers.

That's the NORM on my Mom's side of the family. I swear, those people just live to criticize each other. I've learned to tune it out and to avoid the worst offenders.

That kind of behavior is a warning flag of an abuser. Good to hear they're no longer in your life.

No. It took my quite some time to leave, but I finally got away from it. It makes me wonder why he would have married me if there was nothing I could do right.
