U.S. News lists Harvard as best for research (Johns Hopkins is #2), and the University of Washington as #1 for primary care (UNC - Chapel Hill is #2). In NYC, Columbia is best for research (#10 overall) and Yeshiva for primary care (#18 overall).

Johns Hopkins University - Not sure for NYC though.

I would say either UNC Chapel Hill or Duke.

In NYC? I dunno, maybe columbia?
