I know there were a few that have predicted it, like the Aztecs and Nostradamus. Anyone else?

worth pointing out all predictions by Nostradamus so far have been wrong. they are poetic and open to interpretation to say the least.

No one, until recently. The complicated Mayan calendar finishes a complete cycle in 2012, but I don't think anyone has any evidence that they read this as the end of the world.

i believe it's either the Mayan or the Aztec calendar. The end of the world should either be 2012 or 2011 according to them.

Mayans predict on December 21,2012 the world would come to an end or some other great age will be here

I have seen the Aztec prediction,but I never knew Nostrodamus gave an exact year.Did he ?

Colombian philosopher juanjuanmino predicted 2012 as well however very little is known about him

The Mesoamerican (Central America) Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by José Argüelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 21 December 2012.[12]

This belief was based on information gained from the Mayan Civilization who employed a very complicated, but accurate calendar.

None of the sources you quote did so. People go for myths just like they go for conspiracy theories. However, I don't doubt that come 2012, some religion freaks and other nuts will be huddled together awaiting the rapture or doomsday or armageddon or the apocalypse....take your pick!
