They were really dark when he was born. But at about 10-12 weeks they got lighter. He is now 9 months old and they haven't changed. He has very very bright blue eyes.

The newborn eye appears different from the adult eye. The iris lacks pigment, so many babies are born with grayish blue eyes--the mature eye color does not develop for at least six months.

He was about 2 months when his eyes changed from being the slate blue to being a more vibrant blue. We knew from the beginning though, that he would have blue eyes since my husband has blue and I have green. If he would have had brown eyes, then my husband would have gotten suspicious!
