i hate eye contact.. i have great social skills but i dont like it when ppl look at me. why is that? i feel like they're searching me.

It probably makes you feel self-conscious due to insecurities that you may have, such as low self-esteem or whatever. That happens to me a lot so I definitely know how that feels.

You know what? I feel the same way as you do!
I have great social skills but when I think the people are looking at me, I get nervous and uncomfortable. I don't know if this is some kind of phobic disorder if you'd like to find the answer from psychology.
The thing is that eye contacts kill me and I need to get over this asap. x[

Eye contact is important I would of thought in social skills may be you not as skilled as you think. If some one talk with me and cannot look me in the eye or feels awkward I wonder what is it they are not wanting to expose about themselves. I agree we must not stir and make people uncomfortable but we must feel confident enough in ourselves to have good eye contact. Then again I no expert so may be it is I who not correct about eye contact.

They ARE searching you. Most non-verbal communication is transmitted via eye contact. When you avoid eye contact, what message do you think that it communicates to them;
Shyness, nervousness, guilt ?
Maybe they just find you attractive and you should be flattered.
