I like that you're looking into uncommon given names, given your common "Brown" surname. ;) Always a nice idea.

BOYS:
Cohen (or spelled Coen) - I prefer Cohen. The H seems to help it flow more naturally, and I think more people will be familiar with this spelling. ;)

Nash - always reminds me of "the gnashing of teeth," and I'd personally stay away from a one-syllable first name. Nash Brown is far too abrupt for my liking. You might, however, like similar Cash as a nickname for Cassius. ;) Just a thought!

Jase - see Nash. And as a short form of dated, but still common, Jason, this doesn't strike me as all that "different."

Talon/Taylon - I'd strongly encourage you to avoid both of these randomly trendy creations. To be honest, I never understood the appeal of the killing mechanism of a bird of prey. Seems mindlessly vicious, making it fairly clear the parents were only looking for a name they thought sounded "cool," and gave absolutely no thought to the literal implications of the word itself. Might as well name him Fang or Claw (well, it IS the same as naming him Claw, but you know what I mean LOL). Just not my style.

Asher - love it. A classic Biblical choice that manages to fit with the current trends without actually seeming trendy or overused itself. Be careful with shortening this to "Ash Brown" -- a bit "colorish" LOL -- but very handsome choice otherwise.

Declan - and of course I love that. ;) Similar Donovan, Desmond or Cillian might also appeal.

GIRLS:
Skyla - not unusual in the least. In fact, Sky, Skye, Skylar, Skyler, Skyla, etc. are annoyingly overused by parents thinking them somehow "unique." I'd avoid Sky-anything, personally.

Devin - a great name, assuming the unisex issue isn't a concern. If it is, you might also consider strictly-feminine Devanie. ;)

Jenner - just looks like a typo of dated, number-one for FIFTEEN years Jennifer (1970-1984). Overused by association, I'd say.

Diem - lots of "where's the Carpe?" jokes in her future. Might as well name her Day. ;) What about something like Aurora (dawn), instead?

Sarai (or spelled Sahri) - Sarai is lovely and underused, and still offers spunky nickname Sadie, should she want one. ;) I'd avoid the created Sahri spelling, however. Just seems to create MORE confusion ... and unnecessarily so, since Sarai itself is already uncommon. You might also like Serafina/Seraphina, which can also be shortened to Sera, Seri, Sadie, Fina, Finn, etc.

Blair - I like it. Blaine, Blythe, Briar, Fyfe, Grier/Greer, Tate and Sloane might also appeal. ;)

Teagan - I've always liked Teagan, and its steady rise in usage is actually surprising me. LOL Not quite in the top 400, still, so I think it would certainly be a comfortable level of popularity for you. You might also consider strictly-feminine Tegan (TAY-gan or TEG-an, rather than TEEG-an), by the way. Not even in the top 1000 in the states.

Emerson - common and predictable, I'm afraid. Falling into the current -son names for girls trend, as well as being a popular, well-known celebrity baby name (it definitely took off after Teri Hatcher named her daughter Emerson Rose). In fact, this exact combo is often the very one mentioned by all the parents thinking they've creatively come up with some "unusual" new option. ;) I'd avoid it, if you really don't want something trendy and overused.

Harlon - immediately reminds me of "harlot." I'd leave that one alone. ;) You might like Harper or Hadley, however.

Edit: Wanted to add Dashiel(l), nickname Dash. Thought I'd mentioned that with Nash, above, but I suppose I forgot. ;)

Ps. Had to laugh that Wyomugs (below) used traditional/classic Celtic names Declan and Teagan as examples of names that were "too out there" and would get a child picked on! ;) Quite common, familiar choices, actually -- both in the US and the UK. Perhaps THEY live on Jupiter? LOL

Out of your names I really like..

BOYS:
Asher
Declan

Here are some suggestions for middle names:
Asher Michael
Asher Jacob
Asher Nathanael
Asher Noah
Asher Judah

Declan Felix
Declan Brody
Declan Asher
Declan Leopold
Declan Jasper

I know you like unique names, but some of your girl names are just too masculine for my taste. I would hate to see a little girl with a boys name.. It just causes too much confusion.

Similar, yet feminine names..
Jemima
Saskia
Seraphine
or Seraphina
Tovah
Emmaline

Hope I was able to help in some way. If you would like some more suggestions, feel free to contact me. :]

My son's name is Asher Cohen. I don't care for any of the girl's names. My daughter's name is Eve. Hebrew names are great. Here's a few more: Dena (like DE-nuh not DIE-nuh) or Esther. Good boy names are Jeshua and Israel. I would avoid any names that share the first or last letter of your surname, however. For example; Cohen Brown, Teagan Brown and Blair Brown aren't so great. The "N" sound tends to stall or stutter the name, not flowing well and the double B's resemble BUBBA, again not very attractive. If you name your child Nash Brown he will be teased all his life... HASH BROWN. Think about that. Good luck.

You need to think how the name will suit them as adults. Declan? Where did you get that name? Not to be mean, I've NEVER heard that one! Emerson for a girl is pretty, but so is Teagan. Remember what sounds like a unique name now, may not be the case 3 months from now.

If you think those names are not "TOO OUT THERE..." ... then you must be living past Jupiter!!! WHY strap a kid (for LIFE) with a name like "DECLAN" or "TEAGAN"??? Other children can be very CRUEL about TEASING others, and names are a common "point of attack."

What you should keep in mind are these things:

DON'T:
-- give them a name that is really "way out there," or something like, "APPLE" or "TIGER"
-- give them a name that can be shortened to something weird.
-- give them names (including the middle name) where the INITIALS spell things like CAB, or ROB, or RIB, or some other such word (or abbreviation, i.e. "BBB")
-- give them names that RHYME with the rest of their name, or the like, such as, "Downy Browny"
-- hyphenate ANY name! "This is my son, Joshua-Devon Brown"

There are some wonderfully distinct names which are not so weird as those you have listed... how about trying something like:

Girl: Heather, Valerie, Madeline, Brandy, Chloe...
Boy: Joshua, Devon, Gerard, Ronald, Wallace

Have a "baby" day!

BOYS -
Jase
Asher
Nash

GIRLS -
Sarai (Serai)
Blair
Skye or Skyla

I like the name Devon, but prefer it for a male, not a female. Just my preference. Jenner and Diem also sound more masculine, as do Harlon and Emerson.
Talon or Taylon seem more feminine. Jase and Asher are pretty much unisex. Just my thoughts.

You do have good names chosen and as long as you can see an adult having those names, no problem.

Blessings.
