Hey, everyone deserves to retire, he was great with Madden. But Summeralls health has not been that great... It would be great to see him in the booth, but let him enjoy his retirement.

He has called a few independant games the past few years. But because of a combination of health trouble, and lack of demand for his services, he doesn't. The last few years of his play by play, some folks thought he had lost both his grasp of the game, ie, his head wasn't quiet in it. Thats when with Fox, he was replaced with Joe Buck. Still, his team-up with Madden has to be the best play-by-play team of all times I think. My understanding is also Pat has a production company too, I saw him on a christian tv network show, he had written a book, pretty good I hear...

He will be doing a Bowl game. I think it's the Cotton Bowl.
