I'm sorry. I mistyped. I meant some members of Islam. And to you people out there criticizing me for this question, think about Sept. 11 and the British subway attacks. Who did them? Not Christians.

That's kind of what I hear about Christians on here. A minority tick people off and the whole faith gets the blame. Having said that, I would like to hear more responsible Islamic leaders speak out against the violence.

America is a nation of freedom of religion-including Muslims. Only religious bigots try to smear all members of a faith based on the crimes of a few fanatics.

On the other hand, why should this nation support Christianity after members of THAT faith--like the terrorist bomber Eric Rudolph--have constantly tried to tear us down?

See?

Um, why's Christianity still supported when many of its members have committed terrorist acts in this country? In fact, no member of Islam that is a member of this country has committed these acts, but Christians had. Besides that, why would you generalize like this? So many members of Islam have done nothing to us that it would be INSANE to say that all of them are trying to tear us down. If they had, that would be millions and millions of muslims attacking us, and we couldn't possibly win. So keep thinking.

Where do I start?

Those are a few people. You can't stop a religion from a generalization.

The colonies were created because of lack of religious freedom in the U.K. That would be erasing the reason why we were settled upon.

This is the land of the *free.* Doing this would basically add new meaning to the word hypocrisy.

Besides, what are you supposed to tell 2.4 million people. "Leave?"

great question.
it is not clear to me why Islam is supported in this country. they commit acts of violence against this country all the time. extremists are always either committing one or planning one. and people say they're a peaceful group.
pshhhhhh. the little darlings brandish placards with typical religion of peace slogans, such as "behead those who insult Islam" and "butcher those who mock Islam" and the like. how about "Europe, you will pay, extermination is on the way"?
you don't see Christians or Jews doing that, now do you?

from Ann Coulter's book:
"If our enemies [the extremists] aren't 'True Muslims', they why are the 'True Muslims' always so offended on their behalf?"

"Inasmuch as liberals are demanding that Americans ritualistically proclaim 'Islam is a religion of peace,' Muslims might do their part by not killing people all the time."

star for you!

There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world. They are not all terrorists by any means thankfully. Do you hate all Catholics because over 100 priests are guilty of child molestation? Do you hate all Mormons because of the guy in Utah? There are a few bad apples in every bunch. Humans are far from perfect.

Those who committed those acts you refer to were common criminals. Theirs were not acts of war. Individuals cannot make war, only states and nations can do that. I've met Muslims and even served with several in the United States Army. They served honorably and well. So don't stand there ranting about Muslims, capisce?

Because we believe that they have the right to practice their religion as long as they do it peacefully and within reasonable limits of the law.

I believe that Islam is incompatible with western civilization but I am hoping that I will be proven wrong.

Because Political Correctness is killing this country!!!! "We don't want to offend anyone." blah blah blah...

The difference between Christians who practice killing and hatred and Muslims is that Christians who do this are doing this outside of the Bible and Its principles. However, the Koran states to kill anyone who opposes Islam. Read the REAL Koran, not the watered down version they want Westerners to think they read.
