I like to stay home and pop fireworks, stuff like that.... in this world now it's too dangerous to go out on New Years..... too many people get stupid.

I stay in until it is time to take the dogs for a walk, which I do in the pitch black as there are no such things as street lights near where I live, in fact there are no streets, just tracks and lanes. There are no `nuts` either, I`m too far from other properties and, there is no pub or places of entertainment, anywhere near. No worries, just peace and quiet and a black sky that is full of stars.

We go out and have a drink with friends until early evening. Most pubs close about 6pm anyway.
We go home, have a nice meal and a few drinks. At midnight we pop the champagne and go outside to watch the fireworks!
No one else joins us!
Happy New Year to you anyway
